Margaret Moore also known as Coach Meg. Coach Meg is a 17-year veteran of the biotechnologycoachmeg_headshot industry in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and France. She served in executive roles at three companies which later joined Sanofi, and served as CEO and COO of two early stage biotech companies. In 2000, Coach Meg shifted from high tech medicine to build the field of coaching in healthcare and wellness, and founded Wellcoaches Corporation - strategic partner of the American College of Sports Medicine, now a standard-bearer for professional coaches in healthcare and wellness. The Wellcoaches School of Coaching has trained more than 8,000 health and wellness coaches in 45 countries. Margaret is co-founder and co-director of the Institute of Coaching at McLean Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, and co- course director of the annual Coaching in Leadership & Healthcare conference offered by Harvard Medical School. Coach Meg is also the co-Author of the book Organize Your Mind, Organize Your Life.

Pamela Elaine and I had the opportunity to speak with Coach Meg in August while we were fully immersed in our self-care series.  Her talk naturally led into more self-care and really inspired us to stay with self-care into September.  So we are really excited to share this episode with you.

Coach Meg talked a lot about self-compassion and how it works in our brain and nervous system.

Compassion is Mother Nature's soolthing balm.

I loved that quote! The compassion creates an increase in oxytocin which settles the suffering.  We talked a lot about creating awareness of the suffering.
